The Game Boy Advance's hardware limitations meant that text had to be carefully managed to fit within the game's memory. However, a breakthrough came when an ASM hacker named unknownbrackets created a script inserter that could handle the game's text system and developed an ASCII font that even supported characters like "ñ". This workarounds to earlier limitations that forced translators to use "caveman speak".
